The targeted drilling performed during the construction
through the Río Grande river, became a world record for its
characteristics: 23 meter deep, 2000 meter length, for a 32
inch pipeline.
The drilling sequence started-up with a driving hole
controlling the necessary direction to follow-up the
previously established trajectory, continuing with the
drilling hole widening.
The calculations, calculations memory and traction and
torsion effort analysis, as well as the admissible bent
curve for the pipeline during the pull-back were performed
previously to the design of the necessary area, and the
mounting of the pipeline section, with its hydrostatic test
to finally run the pull-back operation.

nature didn’t realize it”
